SNV is an international non-profite organisation founded in the Netherlands in 1965, with a long-term, local presence in countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our mission is to make a lasting difference in the lives of millions of people living in poverty.
SNV works in three sectors: Agriculture, Energy and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene with climate change and gender as cross-cutting issues. Our global team of local and international advisors work with local partners to equip communities, businesses and organisations with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to increase their incomes and gain access to basic services – empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and guide their own development. For over 50 years, we work with governments, local development partners, businesses, knowledge institutes and low-income communities, so that together we can transform ideas into policy, policy into action, and action into results.
